Spredsheet display and Vbulletin forum I have an excel Spreadsheet which holds some inventory info which I'd like to port into Vbulletin. At present I have to save it as a HTML file and upload it to a website. At present it just holds the basic info in the columns and rows* if I want to add additional info and pics then I need to create a separate sheet for each item and then provide a link in the spreadsheet to the detail sheet. I'm thinking all this can be done much easier in Vbulletin* either in a sub-forum or as a project What I'd like to see when I open the sub-forum or project is each row of the spreadsheet* (with all it's column info) listed as individual posts; (of-course this would then entail that the column headers appear at the top of the forum/project and ideally be sortable just like a spreadsheet). Each post can then be opened to view additional information (mostly text and number fields but also including pics) not contained in the column view from outside. I guess what I'm asking for is some form of enhanced spreasheet function within the forum view. I guess this may be possible somehow but would require some form of modifiation to the underlying structures* perhaps in MYSQL? Does anyone know if this is possible and if so can someone provied me with an idiots overview of how I might go about this? Perhaps this would be easier with the upcoming V4? Anything you can offer guys would be much appreciated! Thanks in Advance Pete |
