Navbar text now showing up like the one after it

I have a navbar which I modified to support JavaChat. It shows a "chat" text on the navbar with a pulldown menu. I now have some new mods I want to do the same with* this time calling it "media" and have it pulldown. I got the pulldown to work* but the word media is not shown* it's just a bottom facing arrow that you can click.

When you click it* there are 3 tiny squares all which properly link to the sections of my site* but do not have labels like the navbar main "media" itself.

I tried to replicate the "chat" template $vbphrase[media_media] $vbphrase[javachat_chat]

Would someone please help me resolve this?
