Is the VB manual correct here* or is this a typo?
 
Is the manual correct here?
  • SMTP Host - If you've enabled SMTP mail* please specify the host here. You may find that specifying an IP Address rather than a domain name* results in better performance. Example: smtp.gmail.com
My hosting company thinks I should enter "mydomain.com" for SMTP host* and not "smtp.mydomain.com"

Is the manual correct here? Or is my hosting company?
