How do I hide some stuff in the "Whats going on" on the home page URL?
 

How do I hide in the whats going on section
a) Total number registered: XXX
b) Our newest member: XXXXXX

Instead I want to show total number of hits on that page so far since the URL began operating. If that is not possible* may be yesterday and today's hits something like that..
