users getting this problems when they trying to open 2 department in my forum

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 15728613 bytes) in /home/XXXXXX/public_html/333/vb/includes/functions.php on line 679


and I have been did this

I added above code in my config.php.

ini_set("memory_limit"* "16M");

it was before I change it ( ini_set('memory_limit'* 32 * 1024 * 1024); )


and I got that

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 17696691 bytes) in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/333/vb/includes/functions.php on line 679
