[Suite] Default 4.0 Installation at vB.com I asked this question earlier* and my apologies for still having questions* but I wish to clarify for my understanding* as well as any others wondering the same. -------------------------- As an answer to one one my earlier questions regarding how and if a CMS page can be used as the root domain portal landing page* assuming of course the install will be as indicated* a default install* and my install will not be under an additional subdirectory off the root. It was said in reply that the default installation would be that the index.php would be set to already use the content.php in fashion where the CMS page would be already configured to be the "landing" home "index" page. (bear with me* as I am describing the best I can) This post and question is* ... ... even though the software here at vB dot com is in a subdirectory "/forum/"* the install of the vB4 beta is fully within this directory as well as the CMS. Is the "install" of the vb dot com forums beta a non-standard non-default installation for purposes here? Reason is* I can go to http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/index.php and it takes me to the forum home and not the CMS as expected from a "default" installation as suggested by a preivious question. I am just looking for confirmation* as this area of reasoning is important to my personal use of the CMS. Thanks in advance*...once again. (and feel free to move this to the approriate forum if misplaced) |
