CMS Promoted content - display comments from existing discussion
 

If an admin were to promote this topic to the CMS as a discussion* I believe the admin would have the options of:

1. No comments allowed
2. New discussion thread created for comments on the promoted article.


The problem with this approach is that members will now be discussing the topic in two areas -- the forum or blog entry* and within the CMS comments.

I'd like to propose a third option if it isn't already present...

Use the existing forum topic or blog entry to pull the comments from.

I know the promoted topic will link back to the original entry -- but it would be nice to see the CMS pull the posts from the original entry into the CMS comments view.
