Maybe I'm a little confused/lost here...
 

But why is it* upon going into the Advanced Search page directly from the forum home page* you don't get to choose which subforum(s) to search through?

For instance* if I go to Advanced Search on my site* which is still running 3.7* I can choose which subforum(s) to search in. Not so much on this site. Is that intentional?

Sorry if this has been brought up before* I searched (I think) and didn't find anything.
