BB Code Split quoting
 

This is something I have seen forum users on any software struggling to do - replying to a list of points or just an incredibly long post without either:

• Numbering their replies (requires either modifying the original message or relying on existing numbers)
• Using bold text to mark their replies within one big quote (I've seen that being done here on vB.com)
• Painstakingly entering [/quote][quote] to split up the quote.

Basically* a button which inserts a split in quoted text* while maintaining stuff like quote author* would be a huge asset to vBulletin. I'm not sure if this exists as a mod* but having not seen it on any forum I've ever visited (which spans just about all forum software)* I doubt it is.

In other words* a button to turn this:

I often find myself replying like this to long-winded forum posts* and I'm sure others have come across this situation too.


Also inb4 bug tracker; it's a suggestion.
