Polls vB Polls are so 2001. Upgrade polls to modern standards?

IMHO polls should be a separate content type.
Many site admins will want to have their latest poll displayed on their home page. A widget for this will be widely used.

I suggest we add more functionality in the polls. The above examples are really good examples.
