Restoring or importing only one forum?
 

The short of it is I have lost one forum. The last full back up was in July. VB support has said they do not support nor recommend a partial restore. I plan to get around this by restoring the (July) database separate from the existing forum..clean it up to only contain the missing forum and then import it to my existing forum.

Is this "partial import" possible?

I mean when you need a new tire you don't replace the whole car........

and another thing...before deleting a forum it should not only confirm that you wish to delete it...it should also display if it has any content ie...this forum contains 1408 threads! Are you sure you want to delete it?

Otherwise if you think you have emptied forum "A" into forum "B" but have actually done the opposite..then on the deleting A page you will be none the wiser.
