New buttons make forum look dark and heavy
 

Hi all*

While I'm happy to see that vB has taken on board the many comments members have made about the buttons in the new style being too light to see* I'm afraid the new buttons that are on-line in the past 24 hours go to the opposite extreme: they are a heavy grey that drains the colour from the whole forum and sit very much at visual odds with the blue and white colour scheme. The result is that they look entirely out of place* and rather amateurish.

As a recommendation* it would be far better to go back to the white/very-light-grey style we saw previously* but provide the buttons with clear borders so that they don't merge / melt away into the page. The light look was good* simply needed refinement.

The new grey buttons* however* stand out and entirely break up for the forum look and feel.
