Styles Some Header Suggestions
 

Hey Everyone*

The header has been bothering me a little as there are a few inconsistencies; and just things I don't like.

I just thought I'd make some suggestions to change the header* I've also gone to the effort of making a Photoshop Mockup of my proposed design...

1. Move the "vBulletin" logo over to the right a little bit* as it sits right up against the edge and looks out of place.
2. Remove "My Profile" and "Settings" from the top part of the header and replace with "UserCP". ("Welcome* Your Name" already links to your profile)
3. Move "UserCP" in the top part of the header to in front of "Notifications".
4. Right Align the notifications drop-down so it can fit more information if need be. Having it left aligned* when it is almost at the edge of the browser is probably a problem waiting to happen.
5. Remove "Settings" from the main navigation bar* it is not part of site content and you can just as easily click "UserCP" right above it.
6. Take the Search Bar out of it's own little section and just right align it. Also remove the magnifying glass from it's own section and right align it WITHIN the Search Bar. This can also add functionality later to have a drop down of specific searches* as in "Only Posts"* "Only Blogs"* etc. like the same way FireFox has it's search drop down of "Google"* "Yahoo"* etc.
7. Add the slight bevel effect (using the white) over the entire navbar and not just the buttons/sections.
8. Make the area below the navbar follow on with the same colour to make it look seamless. It is evident in the current design that this was supposed to happen* but didn't for some reason. And as a result* modify the colour of the links below the navbar slightly.
