Suggestions for 2.0 I have a few. Make approval a mod permission. If individuals get permissions of the group they are in plus individual permissions* restricting content to groups becomes so much more powerful. Each group could have a designated approver that sees only the content they are supposed to see. Or in the list of group members* a flag next to the person designated as approver for said group* in case the user is in multiple groups* but is an approver in only one (or more) but not all. Move most of the settings from theme.ini and config.php to the control panel. config.php should probably have only the path and the connection to the db. Everything else looks like a control panel setting to me. Granular permissions for Layout. Split them up a bit. Give users restricted and unrestricted access to different parts of layout. Mod_rewrite should be off by default. This ensures phpws works right away with no errors. An upload utility for css files. kind of a theme builder if you will. How about a survey of platforms? see what is the most common implementation? How many people are using Postgres?* WAMP? IIS? File Cabinet creates folders called Folder1* Folder2 etc. Any way to create folders with the titles we give them in the File Cabinet Module? Enhance Alert to be opt in* include a way to send text messages (My idea is detailed in another post) Just some thoughts to make the developers mad at me. :) |
