CMS Form Builder
 

Some form of custom form engine for the CMS is really necessary for a number of individuals. I apologize if something like this is already in the works for VBCMS* but it's really a necessary feature.

To elaborate a bit* the administrator has the ability to create forms that visitors of the website can fill out. These are not simply contact forms. Many sites* like my own* have forms for members to upload files to be included in a site wide gallery* forms for letters to the editor* etc. A specific widget type to accomplish this would be a really awesome addition.

The Widget...or whatever you wish to call this* should include:

• Option to send responses via E-Mail* store in the database* or both
• Permissions (if in usergroup x can't submit* etc)
• All general field types (upload* radio boxes* checkboxes* single line forms* paragraph forms* etc)
• Required fields
• Conditional fields (appear if field x is true)
• Pretty much what one would expect from a form building application.

Having this integrated into the CMS system will make the lives of a large number of customers much easier. That* and it serves as a much needed expansion to the only similar system in Vbulletin at the present* the rather dated contact form.
