Last 5.0 Mysql verion improves "bulk Insert" permance of Mysql. Useful for vb?

Are bulk inserts uses heavy by vb? If so when?

I don't like upgrading when this are stable unless security fixes are part of the update. I'm hesitant to upgrade from 5.0.85 to 5.0.86 unless I can understand if this improvement even affects vbulletin's performance.

Maybe some MySQL experts here can shed some light?
