Moving to a new server with fresh installation
 

I have a vbulletin backup from my previous forum (version 3.7.x) and i discontinued it. Now i want to restore that backup into a new domain and server and would like to use a fresh installation because i believe the last one had too many mods and went buggy... like a lot of white pages etc..

Question: If i dump the 3.7.x backup to a new database and use the new files of vbulletin 3.8.x version with the new config with correct new database details. Would this work for me? Do i need the old vbulletin 3.7.x files in anycase even if thats very buggy?
