Odd problem with deleted member
 

One of our members recently requested her account be deleted. She did not even want the Username to remain in any of her posts.

When I selected "Delete user" in the User Manager* I saw this text:

All posts made by this user will be set to 'Guest'
and assumed it was the Username that would be set to "Guest." It was not. Only the User Title was set to Guest.

I ran Update User Titles and Ranks but to no avail.

Did I miss a setting somewhere?

If not* I think what I should have done is change her Username and displayname to "Guest" and then Update User Titles and Ranks before deleting the account.

Is that correct?

If I add her Username as a new member* then change the Userid in the database to her old Userid* will the Forum associate her old posts with the new member?

If so* then I can change the Username to Guest before deleting the account again.

Or will it choke or suffer some other undesirable malady if I mess with the User IDs?
