Is a quadcore dedicated server better for vbulletin ? Hi* I have a dualcore server ( see below for specs ) and was thinking on upgrading from 4 Gb to 6 Gb RAM and of course to a quade core server ( see specs below ). I just have some several websites and irc on the server* but I was wondering* would it boost up the speed of the vbulletin forum in any way ? I have 2 dedicated servers: 1st: I have around 40 small simple websites* 1 shoutcast server ( 150 people ) and IRC ( 250 people )* 1 forum 2nd: I have 10 websites on this one* with 2 forums. I also have the option on combining the 2 dedicated servers to reduce the costs* but would this effect the speed of the 2 forums.. ? I assume a dedicated server should be able to handle multiple forums... so I should be able to do this also right.. ? Please advise and thanks. p.s. if I have 3 different forums on the same dedicated server* would they effect eachother in speed ? The 2 dedicated servers are with the below specs: Dualcore 2*2 Ghz 2 Gb RAM 500 GB HDD The quadcore that I wanted to upgrade to: Quadcore 2*3 Ghz 6 Gb Ram 1000 Gb HDD |
