Should i remove this or close it?

Its not causing any problems that I know of. But i've read it has implications on performance* it has been viewd 550*000 times and that increases all the time. Is it wise to place it into a forum where it can't be seen?

Also how do i reduce mysql connections as i've been getting warnings saying there are too many and when i get these warnings the site crashes. I use my friends dedicated server not 100% sure on the specs but i know it has 1gig ram and its got 100 set has the MAX CONNECTIONS.
