"Smart Bots" auto posting content from other sites
 

I'm beginning to see what I can only describe as "Smart Bots" posting on my forums. It appears they are grabbing the title of a thread, putting it into a search engine, getting relevant body text from the first result or so and posting in the the forums.

I can't determine if this action is fully or partially automated, but I've seen it happen several times over the last couple months. In one case an account posted several hundred posts spanning several hours.

Has anyone else seen this happen, and if so have you figured out any more information on what the motivation of these posters are and where they are coming from?
