Easy forum setup backup?
 

Hi,

Recently, I started playing around with a number of addons and plugins on my vB site. I changed a few settings in the templates, added style, vBadvanced, and various other little settings and specific configurational options.

I'd like to start another forum, with pretty much similar settings and setup. Is there an easy way to achieve this? I was informed that a simple backup of the database and files will not work, as the licensing information is cinluded in the database and file system. Is it possible to still somehow achieve a near automatic roll-out for what I want?

I'm thinking that most of this stuff like style-templates and options etc is just stored in the backend (i.e. database), and therefore it should be easily doable to create backups of specific tables, and copy the data across.

Could anyone shoot some holes in my theory, or provide me with some additional pointers of what to look out for, please? I'm bound to overlook some small things if I were to manually redo all the work, hence the wish to automate things. It will also allow me to achieve a consistent look and feel over different sites.
