Getting MySQL database failure errors. Possible hacking attempts? Hi all, I have recently been getting a variety of these types of errors via email alert.... Quote: Invalid SQL: UPDATE session SET lastactivity = 1252424860, location = '/vBforum/showthread.php?t=159', inthread = 159, incalendar = 0, badlocation = 0, useragent = 'Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.13) Gecko/2009080315 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty (scanner)) Firefox/3.0.13' WHERE sessionhash = '25a744cd52c83a9048946f7f839d9499'; MySQL Error : MySQL server has gone away Error Number : 2006 Request Date : Tuesday, September 8th 2009 @ 10:47:40 AM Error Date : Tuesday, September 8th 2009 @ 10:48:15 AM Script : http://custodialgrandparents.com/vBf...read.php?t=159 Referrer : http://custodialgrandparents.com/vBf...c&daysprune=-1 IP Address : 68.225.192.222 Username : Unregistered Classname : vB_Database MySQL Version : Since they reference nonexistent users I am assuming it is some form of hacking attempt, but want to confirm there are no other issues causing these in case it is resulting from new member sign ups going foul. I have been diligently been banning ip's and emails to keep those damn bots and spammers out, I was getting over twenty a day and have reduced it to one or two every few days. So can anyone verify what would generate this type of error? For the record both show thread and forum display urls are valid and work. Thanks in advance! TSG! |
