Clarification of License terms
 

I'm a little confused on the terms used here, especially in reference to how upgrades to vb4.0 will work.

I understand the difference between an "owned" licence and a "leased" license.

If I have an owned licence, and it's past the 1st year of purchase but have not done a renewal (meaning, as I understand it, that the forum is still valid and legal, but updates are not available) then do I have what you're referring to as an "Active" license?

So, does "Active" mean that it's a license that's valid for renewals or just that it's valid for keeping a forum running? My guess is that "Active" means that you are in a position to get updates. Correct?
