Double posting
 

My site is running 3.8.1.

A few users suddenly started complaining about seeing "This is a duplicate post that you posted in the last 5 minutes" messages.

I downloaded and installed Chrome and sure enough, it does that for me almost every time (9 out of 10) I posted in a test thread using the quick reply box.

One of the users tells me he uses IE8. So I do the test with IE8 and see the message 1 out of 5 times, but it actually does double post.

I recently did change the layout from 960px to 100% and added a table to generate the top of the site (above the nav bar).

I also had been including jquery for some custom JS I wrote, and removed all of that. It seemed to fix the chrome problem, but an IE8 problem still persists.

Our quick reply is always enabled. If I use it with IE8, I am now always getting "the message you entered is too short" on a new full editor page.
