Disable IMG BBcode? Possible? Implications?
 

Age old problem of large external images being linked to in posts and causing problems. Or images in old posts missing. Or hotlinked images showing as broken.

Is it possible to disable the IMG tag? It is not listed under BBcode settings - is it part of "basic" BB Code and if so what else would that disable?

This will force users to use the better attachments system.

Has anyone done this and are there any major disadvantages or implications in removing that feature?
