Surfing without an IP address. The wonders of modern technology.
 

I had this troll ip banned the other day. Luckily he has a static IP, so the IP ban was the solution to his annoying presence.

And then he pulled off this:




Mind that he neither has a registration IP address logged nor an IP address for his replies.

• He did this not with one, but with 3 accounts.
• Everyone elses IP address shows up fine
• There was no import involved
• He did not access our database and removed the addresses via an SQL statement

Now, we all can agree on that without an ip address, there is no network communication.

So the questions are:

What did he (or his proxy) do to make the vBulletin forum software decide NOT to log this guys ip addresses?

And how can I prevent that in the future?
