Blog Categories module unusable
 

I just installed the latest blog software on my test forum and I get a side module showing the Blog Categories in an unusable format.

What did I do wrong?

Also I don't want the parent categories to allow posting of blogs...on my wish list there would be a way to do this like we can do on parent forums. It's annoying to have to set it like that for all user groups. Or maybe I'm missing something there too? Does not seem to be in the docs.
