Postindex & Word Tables
 

My postindex table is over 1G in volume. If I empty it and the Word tables, do either of those have any functional benefit (other than search?), particularly the "word" table. I'm pretty sure the postindex one is O.K. to empty, but it's the word one I'm also wondering about. I'm trying to switch over to full text search but the table is so huge I can't do it through the admin menu - so I just want to confirm here before I request support empties (and alters them) from the server level per the specs in the admin panel.

I have an issue during high traffic times and this would cut my db size by half, so I appreciate any insight you can provide.
