What is a 'Hit'? Awstats question.
 

What is a hit? Is every .php file accessed a hit? Every refresh of vB.com is 20 hits?


I cannot figure out exactly what the Awstats stats mean (please do not tell me to download google analytics or other program, I simply am trying to figure out what the stats mean).

Just now I came onto vB.com, clicked "Managing your Community", clicked Post New Thread, and started this thread. How many hits is that?

I'm trying to convince advertisers that my site has great traffic! LOL... So I am interested in telling them certain stats that sound impressive but are still meaningful.
