database backups etc
 

Not being the brightest bulb in the box, I have been dragging my feet upgrading, (3.6.8) and I figure, I'm an idiot not to be current.

A couple of questions,

My database is small so using the VB backup should not be an issue. And I have used this. My host has also provided me with access to "MySQL Quick Admin" there it shows my database, and the ability to back it up, but there is also a database called "information schema" It is very small. When I back up my database in VB, is it also backing this one too?

While reading this forum, they talk about backing up "tables" and the "database" is database and tables = the same thing? If not how do you back up the "tables"?
