Bahrain opposition leader’s jail term upped to 9 years

DUBAI: A Bahraini court on Monday more than doubled a jail sentence against opposition leader Ali Salman. The appeals court increased the sentence imposed on charges of inciting violence to nine years from the original four, a judicial official said.
