هي عبارة عن برنامج أو حزمة برمجية مكتوبة بلغة Ruby و غالبا مايطلق عليها "gem" أو "gems" يتم إدارة هذه البرامج أو الحزم عن طريق برنامج Ruby Gems حيث يسمح بتحميل وإعداد وإدارة الجيمات gems
