I have an instance where I have 2 domain names both pointing to the one forum.

I have a test forum set up on a secondary server, password protected, members do not know of its existence.

I am about to move the primary domain to a new server.

I'm thinking that it would be advantageous simply to swap things around.........Make the current test site the primary site, remove the URL forwarding, make the current primary site the test and put URL forwarding on that instead and of course, password protect it.

It would save me having to wait for the DNS change as most of my members access the site from the URL that is currently being forwarded to the primary server.

There is only one DB,albeit in two different places, if I did that, the links within the site will be different to what is licensed, however, they are both identical otherwise.

Bit of stuffing around yes but.....
I'm pretty anal about backing up my DB so by going down that path it would build in a fair bit of redundancy, If the primary site ever got hacked or the DB developed issues it would simply be a case of swapping the forwarding again.

Would 2 licences be required if I were to go down that path?
If so.
Are there any concessions for running 2 licences for 2 identical forums on 2 separate servers, 2 different domain names but only one forum ever accessible to the public on 1 server?
