Ultimate MYSQL backup script - part one As promised, I've now put up part one of the mysql backup script I mentioned a few weeks ago. Dump took: 0 hours 0 minutes 5 seconds Compression took: 0 hours 0 minutes 8 seconds Transfer to destination took: 0 hours 0 minutes 2 seconds Site was down for: 0 hours 0 minutes 23 seconds Time it took to execute this whole script: 0 hours 0 minutes 25 seconds Posting this in a new thread in case George wants to add a link to it to one of his stickied threads - as I think it will come in handy for a lot of people. In part two we'll use rsync to keep our files/uploads backed up too - so stay tuned!
