Integrating with existing customer db
 

I have an education website with an existing database of customers. They all have logins and passwords. I am wondering if there is any way to integrate the vBulletin registrations with my existing customer db. Like I would like to make sure only existing customers can register and access certain areas of the forum.

I guess I could pre-register them on the forum and turn off new registrations.

I noticed that vBulletin has some things that require registration with a customer number.

Can I require that users use their real name?

ANy advice on this?
