Spam apparently still an issue with vBulletin? I just recently got back into vBulletin after using it from version 3.5x to about 3.6x. Now I'm on the latest version of vBulletin on a brand new forum with just over a hundred posts and I'm already getting the automated bots that pass all of vBulletin's safeguards. (i.e. re captcha, confirm emails etc.) So my question is - what is being done in either future versions of vBulletin or in the one I'm using right now to address these issues? Is there any sort of system in place to prevent links to words like Viagra, Cialis, porn etc. etc. etc. Wordpress's Askimet plugin catches all comments like this. Is there anything built into vBulletin that works as the equivalent? I've been out of the loop for a while so hopefully someone can tell me some good news. I spent some time looking but to no avail. |
