Menu: external links with pws 1.6.x Some posts ask how to use external links with mod menu to open the link in a new window or tab. The quick and dirty solution is: when entering the url for an external link, for example with phpwsforums.com, type Code: http://phpwsforums.com" target="_blank Regard the exact coding of the quotation marks in the sample. The reason, why target is not supported with mod menu may be, target in not xhtml strict. The deprecated target attribute of html only controls a web browser behavior, and that is neither the mission of xhtml, nor css. Note, the dirty of the solution is, such value typings is hard below what may be treated as an attac. Thus, may not work in the future. (tested with pws 1.6.3) Hilmar |
