Tips on improving my search engine visibility?
 

Hello,

My site gets about 15,000-20,000 hits a day. Which is not A LOT, but for my niche market...when people type in certain words on Google we should be one of the first sites to pop up. Considering most of the other ones on the first page are dead or slow sites.

Given that, what can I do to help change this? I can't afford to pay some search engine optimization company hundreds of dollars to do it for me. Is it possible to do it on my own?
