Forum issues.
 

Hi Guys,
Before I give the problem I will explain how everything is setup, We have
1 web server
1 Master DB server
1 Slave DB server.

All servers are communicating via internal IPs.

Earlier today the ethernet cable for the internal IP on the slave DB become faulty, I replaced it and then checked to make sure everything was still communicating properly... it was.

However, now the forums are running really slow, I check the processes running for the slave and master only to see loads of processes in the sleep state, as they reach 120 they vanish.

If i shutdown the apache on the webserver both db servers clear the process list right away, however when I restart apache I can see them all slowly building up again.

I have tried running the forum from the master server, and from the slave server (with replication off) and exactly the same thing happens.

Any ideas what would suddenly cause this? The forum has been running fine for the last year.
