Slow loading of very long thread
 

Hi there

My forum’s performance is fairly good (around 500 ms per page), but the page loading becomes very slow when rendering a very long thread (around 5 second). The thread is very long – nearly 300 000 posts – but this is surely not normal? Why would a thread’s length influence loading time?

The forum runs on some serious hardware with lots of RAM, so I doubt it is a hardware issue.

Any assistance will be great.
