Installing vBulletin when I have an old invisionPB Hello all ! First post here, and already some questions. Let me introduce the thing: I run a IPB forum in its 1.3.1 version. It's old and I've just bought a licence for vBulletin. Ok, that's for the story. Now let's proceed with the questions. I have made a backup of the sql database using IPB admin CP. By the way, I had to deactivate an option in order for the backup not to result in a sql error. The option was: Quote: Add 'CREATE TABLE' statements? Add backticks around the table name? (if you get a mySQL error, enable this) So, I had to disable that option completely as even with the "enable this" box checked, I still had an error. I know have a 12 Mb .sql file and I hope it's enough. The forum is in a /forums/ folder. Question: Is it ok if I place the vB in a temp folder like /newvbforum/ and then install it or am I going to have a problem with it being active at the same time as the old one? |
