The 'Delete As Spam' option is not banning the spambot
 

When a post is selected and I choose the 'Delete As Spam' option from the moderation dropdown, I go through the series of screens which deletes all posts by the spambot and then bans the user.

Everything works except for the user being banned. The usergroup is not changing for the user account. When I go check the user, it shows as a 'Registered User' still.

What needs to be in place so the usergroup does get changed? We have a banned usergroup in place.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Running vb3.8 if makes a difference.
