vBulletin & Zen Cart integration Hi, I currently have an ecommerce site running ZenCart with the ZenMagick framework (www.zenmagick.org). I am looking at adding a forum to the site but want to integrate the user accounts between the forum and the shopping cart. The shopping cart has the ability to integrate with a forum but I need to find out a little bit more about vBulletin to ensure that it is suitable. The basic scenario required is that when a user registers on the forum it needs to not only register them a forum account but also send those details to the shopping cart to be registered in that db as well, and visa versa. I have been told my the developer who works on the zen cart side of things that Zen Cart/Zen Magick can do this easily but I need to ensure vBulletin can handle it. I would also like to setup a system which enables a 'single sign on' so users dont have to sign into both parts of the site. Another thing I thought of was if the login to vbulletin for a user can be changed from "Username and Password" to "Email Address & Password" so its the same format as the shopping cart? Does anyone know of integration like this being done before, I'm sure its a fairly regular thing that a lot of sites have done before. Are there any developers out there that would like to work on this project? Kind Regards, Brad. |
