need help logging into vbulletin from homepage
 

I am having trouble logging into my vbulletin forum from my home page (which is separate from vbulletin). From reading other post it may have something to do with cookies but I have no idea how to work with them.

I copied the login code from vbulletin and pasted it into a login form I created on my index page.
When I put in username and password information it sends me to the redirecting page ("Thank you for logging in....."), but then returns me back to the index page rather than vbulletin forum.
I go back to the vbulletin forum manually and it has me logged in and everything. I just cannot figure out how to get to the forum page from the login screen on my index page.

What I am trying to do worked on my local host site but since I upload it to global gold it is not working.
