Multilingual Forum
 

After not having received replies in either of the German Forums, I'll try my luck here, I suppose few Germans set up multilingual forums and so this place should be capable of better answering my questions since people from all around the world stop by here.

I currently run 3.8.2 and German as the standard language. There are a few users, but nothing I couldn't quickly impex post reset if starting from scratch is the better option.

Now, what I would like to do is introduce an internationalisation which will require all the functions to be available in, for starters, four languages, German, English, French and Spanish, possibly to be expanded to six or seven languages, Chinese and Arabic among them.

Is there any serious problem I could face, are there tipps or tricks to be heeded?

How is this going to go with vB4?

Experiences with user acceptance of probably multilingual interest groups and other things would be very interesting for me, too.
