Replacement Variable Manager and display vs operational
 

Hi,

I have user profile fields that are displayed in the post bit as graphics based on the option selected's name with .gif appended...

Some of the options require spaces in names so I have traditionally done an option like:

Quick of Japan as Quick_of_Japan
and uploaded Quick_of_Japan.gif
and it works fine

I tried the replacement variable manager and it does indeed work in converting all instances of Quick_of_Japan to Quick of Japan to the point of the post bit image code implementation:

thus the image drops out - how would this be best tackled? (other than leave it be, which may be quite reasonable too)
