images not resizing in photalbum 1.4.7
 

I have edited the config file:
/* auto-resize originals, true or false */
define("PHOTOALBUM_RS", TRUE);
/* max width/height of resized originals */
define("PHOTOALBUM_RS_WIDTH", 500);
define("PHOTOALBUM_RS_HEIGHT", 500);

The thumbnails are fine but the large image is not getting resized. Is there anything else I need to configure to get it to work?

Is this a known bug with (hopefully) a known workaround?

I am using phpws 1.6.2.
