Development Environment
 

Hi -

I am looking for guidance on setting up a development environment for vBulletin. I am working with another developer to create a plugin for a live site. Rather than installing and removing the plugin on the live site, we want to create a "clone" of the live site that can periodically be reset to match the live site. I assume we will want to create a "reset" script that:

• mysqldump from the Live site's database into the Development site's database.
• ditto / rsync from the Live site's forum directory into the Development site's forum directory. (I will be careful to avoid some files like .htacces for vbSEO, etc.)

Am I missing anything? Any tips or references out there?
