Another permissions question Hi - Any help appreciated. I am looking for the best way to set up private forums and here is what I have so far: 4 user groups (that I intend to use) - administrators, unregistered/not logged in, techs, customers What I am looking to do is have multiple categories with two forums under each. The admin and techs will have view\post access to all forums. The customers will only be able to view\post in 'their' category\forums. Unregistered\not logged in will only see the main category and a notice that they don't have access (the notice is done). I have got it worked out as a test with a separate group for each customer's company but that requires the creation of many usergroups as well as users which seems redundant. From what I can tell, the access mask should be sufficient? Below is the structure with permissions I tried. Main Category -Customer 1 (category only) --Forum A --Forum B -Customer 2 (category only) --Forum A --Forum B Not working. Hopefully this makes sense. What would be the best way and so I don't have to create a separate usergroup for each customer? Thanks. |
